CNC lathes rotate the workpiece material around a central axis. A cutting tool is then introduced to the workpiece to remove material and shape it into the desired product.
CNC lathes are utilized for a variety of processes, such as cutting, grinding, surfacing, drilling, turning, knurling, etc. In CNC turning, a non-rotating cutting tool moves linearly across a rotating workpiece, creating a spiral-shaped cutting path.
